Hello and Welcome

Welcome to my blog!  As some of you may know, I also write the Bell Genealogy blog.  At first my intent was to stay with Bell genealogy, but over time I decided to include other surnames; however, I realized for anyone other than me this could become confusing.  So, I am going to keep my Dad's ancestors on my Bell Genealogy blog and created this for my Mother's ancestors.

In the days and weeks ahead, I hope to have this blog up and running.  Should you now or ever have comments, questions or just want to share, please use the comment section.  I hope you tell your friends and relatives of my blog and maybe with a lot of luck we will ALL gain a better understanding of those relatives who came before us, our ancestors, our family.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you return frequently.

Tim

  1. Hello Mr Bell,
I was googling information about Annice Bell who I think married my great great grandfather just after the civil war. A link brought me to a post you put up on the bellgenealogy.blogspot on Aug 4, 2011. You had posted a section entitled "Bell Marriages - Williamson and Marion Counties Illinois 1763 - 1900". Under the "Marion county, Ill Brides" section was Annice Bell, who I think might be my great great grandmother. The actual post read "WILSON, CHARLES E BELL, ANNICE 1867-10-16". Charles E. Wilson was from Newcastle ME, and he married an unknown woman in Sandoval, Marion County, Illinois. They came back to live in Bristol, RI and eventually Providence, RI to raise a family. They must have met during the Civil War when he was most likely a Union soldier. Any information you might have about Annice Bell would be appreciated. Thanks for any help you might offer. Well done website by the way. Sincerely, David Wilson

  2. Hi David, Thanks for visiting my blog! Presently I have no information on Annice Bell, but I will go through my files and perhaps find something. If I do, I will gladly share whatever I have. A part of me suspects there is a connection to all the Bells in Marion and Williamson counties, but proving it is much easier said than done. Again, thanks for visiting my blog, thanks for the compliment and good luck in your pursuit of your ancestors. Tim
